Elena-Elizabeth: There are no reported problems with the Lancaster transmitter and at 4km away you should be getting a good signal. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Retuning was a bad idea, as you have now deleted the missing channels when they were previously correctly tuned.

Kimberly :
Obtaining signals from your neighbours internet connection is not permissible. You need your own internet connection connected to your own TV set.
Your problem could be that your neighbour has realised you have been purloining signals via WiFi and has changed the passwords s/he uses to prevent your unauthorised access.

I can only assume that the box is faulty if it is not storing the settings for COMs 7 &8.

Kinross
Why is freeview reception so bad in Kinross? Despite boosters and roof top aerial. Also a local relay station we still do not get good reception and full range of channels. Why? Even BBC1 and 2 are patchy when we are paying a license for these.

Corrieri: Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted signal strength etc. Kinross is a Freeview Lite relay covering only around 3,000 houses and is not considered to be worthwhile by the commercial broadcasters to provide their full range of channels given the costs involved and the small number of additional viewers they would gain. If you want more channels, look at getting Freesat.

Corrieri:
The Licence Fee is so that you are allowed to receive any 'live' TV broadcasts, not just the BBC services. Look at the explanation on the TV Licensing Website:

Please can you tell me if I Am I able to get a signal for a portable TV for personal use at the University Hospital (Heath Hospital) Cardiff CF14 4XW. Also, whether I will need a booster aerial. Many thanks.

Beverley Tennant: You're predicted to get a strong signal from the Wenvoe transmitter (only 8km away) so you may be able to get good reception with an indoor aerial, particularly if you are on the West/South West side of the building.
