Freeview reception at LA1 2BN

For reliable and stable Freeview reception, you need an unobstructed path between the TV aerial on your roof and the digital TV transmitter. The map below shows the transmitters predicted to provide a signal at this location.

You can click on any transmitter symbol to show the coverage area as a green overlay on the map. Double click on a transmitter symbol to go to the transmitter information page.

You can also view the ten closest potential '4G-at-800' mobile phone masts within 1.5km of the selected location - these masts may be used for 4G-at-800 mobile broadband services from 2013-2015.

John Mitchell: There are no faults showing for either Durris or the Balgownie relay (both are predicted to give a good signal at your location). Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV?

Poole

Poole, Dorset. Lived in a flat Poole town centre for 3 years.
Freeview reception always been good; always manual tune.
Past 2 months or so, all SD channels affected by interference.
SD channels rendered unwatchable; HD channels unaffected.
So have 5 watchable channels. Yet ALL channels, SD and
HD, show signal strength 'strong' on reception indicator.
Have tried 4g filter: no change at all.
Utterly baffling!

John : Please provide a full postcode so that we can see the predicted coverage at your location. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Do you share a communal aerial with other residents in the same building? If so, have you checked whether anyone else is suffering with the same problem?

D. A. Brown:

I know this reply is somewhat "late" but might still be useful.
Did you mean lose COMs 7&8 from the Humax PVR or from a TV set it's plugged into?

If the latter then maybe it's because the PVR has an RF pass-through that powers down in standby and because those COMs maybe transmitted at lower power than the others, there's not quite enough breakthrough of their signal whereas the others are strong enough for your set still to function OK.

If it's the PVR itself then maybe a full retune may help, first retune automatically with the aerial unplugged to clear all existing stored data, then do a manual tune for each UHF channel used by your transmitter.

Chris.SE:
Hi all, just a quick update as i have been away for a week.
All of the com 7 and com 8 channels are not been received on any tv or set top box in the home. I own a Humax pvr, a Samsung smart tv, and an LG tv, all of these are now not receiving any com 7 or com 8 channels. I have retuned and also tried manual retunes on all devices but no luck.
I have checked and double checked my outdoor aerial & cabling.
No change.
