HI, I'm in the SG1 area of Stevenage, herts and over the past couple of weeks since the warmer weather started, my Freeview box is only giving clear pictures on channels 1-5.Anything higher seems to be low signal and freezing/pixelating or nothing at all. Is it my box or something to do with reception and atmospherics

Signal provided by Rowridge transmitter on the Isle of Wight.
31 mobile network masts within 1.5 km
Nearest is <100m from residence (6 storey block - communal aerial. (Vodaphone)
Have been getting intermittent issues with the following frequencies on my TV for the last week or so. Initially put it down to the weather.
Currently frequences 22, 25 and 28 are showing as poor, with either very low or no signal at all.
Is this interference likely to be atmosphere related, or could it be down to other interference (4g network)?

Dave Woods: Turn your aerial to vertical - there is no need for a replacement (unless it is defective).
Rowridge is unique as a main transmitter. It broadcasts mixed polarisation. The COM channels, which are the three you quote, aren't as strong horizontally.

Hi l adore watching pick 26th(sky3). Or l did l was enjoying my daily Charmed, although l didn't like Put very much, but l was so disappointed when l watched it as usual on a Friday night, then Monday night instead of carrying on on from Friday, you start a completely different series,l don't know what happened to Pru l know she is dead. Then a week later, you run it again, then you put on different ones
Guess what, you now show Ghost Wisperer s1, there are6s.you have just taken it off, why l enjoy it so much believe it or not it's my highlight l was looking forward so much to watching all of the series, can't find it anywhere

Hi, I seem to have lost Pick, Ready and food network on my Tv. They are pixulated on the screen and the sound is awful.
What has happened

Dave Lindsay:
Unfortunately I have no access to the aerial as roof access is not available to tenants but as far as I am aware, the aerial system seems to consist of both horizontal and vertical antenna.
Also, this has been a recent issue and I am more interested in finding out if it is weather related or potentially 4G related.

Dave Woods: In which case if it is a communal aerial system then it is down to the party responsible to make any changes, this including fitting any necessary 4G filter as much as changing the aerial for vertical polarisation.
As a user of the system the reason is surely largely irrelevant. If there is no signal coming out of the wall socket, on some or all channels, then the party responsible should be notified rather than a website devoted to solving issues.

Dave Woods: The organisation that can tell you whether there is a 4G base station operating at 800MHz is at800 | 4G Interference | 4G Filters | Let's be clear at 800 Mhz

susan smith: As your reception would appear to be via a communal aerial system then its advisable to check with a neighbour to find out if they are also experiencing similar difficulties, because at just under 4 miles away from the Winter Hill transmitter its nearly impossible not to receive the BBC channels unless something is amiss with the communal aerial distribution system.
