Freeview reception at KA10 6PH

For reliable and stable Freeview reception, you need an unobstructed path between the TV aerial on your roof and the digital TV transmitter. The map below shows the transmitters predicted to provide a signal at this location.

You can click on any transmitter symbol to show the coverage area as a green overlay on the map. Double click on a transmitter symbol to go to the transmitter information page.

You can also view the ten closest potential '4G-at-800' mobile phone masts within 1.5km of the selected location - these masts may be used for 4G-at-800 mobile broadband services from 2013-2015.

Nuala: Not sure whats meant by "mini TV satellite signal"?, but where satellite reception is concerned a "no signal" or any other form of difficulty with reception is "always" caused by a problem associated with the installation.

Further advice can only be given with knowledge of the type / brand model of the equipment being referred to.

Clare Gebel: If indeed you are receiving Freeview from the Crystal Palace transmitter, the doubt being as Sudbury is indicated as providing a better signal, and so to determine which transmitter you are receiving from carry out a signal strength / quality check whilst you are viewing BBC1, noting the mux channel number seen along with the indicator bars and cross referencing it with the sources listed, the ITV1 mux numbers given being each stations match for the BBC.

By the way, when you say that the signal is split two ways then what way is this achieved, is it via a two way powered splitter? if it is then try temporarily by-passing the splitter.

Crystal Palace : BBC (23) - ITV1 (26)
Bluebell Hill : BBC (46) - ITV1 (43)
Sudbury : BBC (44) - ITV1 (41)
Dover : BBC1 (50) - ITV1 (51).

We are on the Mendip transmitter. We can pick up tv from both Mendip & Plymouth. Yesterday 26/12 the Mendip tv showed "No signal" but the Plymouth tv was ok. Both signals are received through the same roof mounted aerial and it is still in it's usual position. Can anyone help?

Unalaska hi, if this was mine the first thing I would have done is to completely down power everything.. You have to bear in mind that we have had very strong winds and that there is a distict poss that the dish has moved, a few mm is miles at 23,000 miles where the satellite is !! What you can do is check the signal strength on the menu function but as you have the newer type box it sounds more like an lab issue(the bit at the end of the dish) check for water ingress !!

hi, since early this morning we have lost signal. Could this be due to the strong winds? I'm not sure if our roof Ariel has been moved or not. But we've always had full signal and now we have nothing at all.

Arial on roof. Sometimes when I record a film on Film4, the picture records, but no sound. The problem seems to be intermittent. No problem with film 4+1. Both TV and DRD-R are Sony Products. Can you help please?

Tom: If your suddenly getting no signal, first check that your transmitter has not lost power, etc (do not retune!).
Next - check your aerial. Is the cable broken or loose? Has the aerial been damaged?

Miss Rogers: Firstly - supplying your postcode is enough - nobody is going to phone you (why?), and its very unwise to publish your phone number on a public website.

OK - 'check connected device power cable connection and source selection '. Please check your manual - this means that the TV (I assume that the tuner is a seperate device) is not picking up the digibox properly. You say both appear to be OK, but it sounds like the scart is very loose, or the power cable. Check them (perhaps change the scart lead, they are very cheap), and make sure your aerial connections are properly connected. If you have no luck, at least post the model/make of the equipment.

You say you've had problems since the changeover - thats been 18 months! If you cant sort it, then get a professional to sort it out.

MikeB: thanks for the reply, we're using a roof ariel right now, i think it may have been damaged or moved due to the storms but everyone on our block of flats that we share is having the same issue right now.
