Freeview reception at CA11 0QR

For reliable and stable Freeview reception, you need an unobstructed path between the TV aerial on your roof and the digital TV transmitter. The map below shows the transmitters predicted to provide a signal at this location.

You can click on any transmitter symbol to show the coverage area as a green overlay on the map. Double click on a transmitter symbol to go to the transmitter information page.

You can also view the ten closest potential '4G-at-800' mobile phone masts within 1.5km of the selected location - these masts may be used for 4G-at-800 mobile broadband services from 2013-2015.

Jannene Travell:

Of course some locations are exposed to some atrocious winter weather, however a good professional installer (CAI approved) should be able to provide an installation that lasts more than a winter or two!
That said, using indoor aerials can be fraught with issues, it depends on how far you are from the transmitter(s) and whether you can get a "line-of-sight".

We need a full postcode to look at the predicted reception in your locale and which transmitter(s) and multiplexes you might receive.

If you have a "smart" TV, why would you need a "Freeview" box? What make and model is the TV?

As you haven't provided a full postcode, it's not possible to know whether your predicted reception could be marginal under normal circumstances in your locale, and whether you'd be using the Nottingham transmitter or the Waltham one, both of which have been on Planned engineering this last week.

Two of us have already responded to your post on the Nottingham transmitter page. Have you followed the advice about NOT retuning or what to do if you already have?
Some information about your aerial installation would also be helpful and which way the aerial is pointing and whether the rods (or squashed Xs) are horizontal or vertical.

It might also be an idea if you check all your coax connections behind your TV etc. If you have weak signals due to the engineering then bad connections could mean you have no signal.
