Hello, Not long moved house to DD4 6PB, just got our first equipt tv. Its in an attic room, there is an outdoor outside, but it doesn't work (tried it yesterday). We Got an indoor aerial (with ) last night, (32db?)but the only place we can get a decent is with the aerial in the middle of the room, hovering in the air, af someone in the room moves around this effects the signal.

So 1. Should we get an outdoor aerial, or a stronger db booster aerial?

2. Is it possible for us to access the rather than the , as apparently the angus one can give us more channels? Which direction do we point said aerial.

Any advise grealy appreciated

I have just replaced my old with a tri-fold 43 element high aerial. The elements are in 3 arrays, one above the other. So, although at first glance, the aerial looks vertical, the elements themselves are horizontal. I live in and have always used the because of the choice of . I'm getting no . Can someone confirm from my description that the aerial is correctly mounted?

Sandy Scrimgeour: If you have previously managed to receive signals from the then you must be located in a choice spot, as Angus is not predicted as being receivable in , and with this being why Perth has its own light transmitter.

A more accurate is possible but only if you provide a post code, or at least one from nearby (a shop etc), as I used Perth post office as a code.

With regards to the , the three booms are indeed stacked on top of each other for horizontal polarity as is used by Angus, your local Perth transmitter being vertically polarised.

Couch Spud: It will change and therefore you will need to do a full retune. The same goes for PSB1 which carries BBC definition TV and BBC radio.
