Is the transmitter output the same in all directions?

Trevor Milburn: I'm not an aerial installer and the only observation I can make is that the sensitivity (gain) of yagi aerials drops sharply above the designated group whereas below there's much more of a slope. C46 is the highest channel and therefore the furthest from group A.
See this page for example curves:
Gain (curves), Again
Note that the yagis all have a distinct form where they drop off sharply above their group and that the slope down towards the beginning of and below the designated group.

Further to my posting of 28 September 2012 11:36AM here is another location, this time Morpeth, where DUK reckons that Bilsdale's PSBs aren't as good as its COMs:

I have read all the above postings, with interest. As regards the reception of Bilsdale transmitter, I can receive it very well with an indoor aerial which is a 4 element indoor aerial and its halfway up a downstairs window pointing towards Bilsdale. I have no trouble receiving all MUXes. The Quality is 100%. The signal strengths do vary between the 50 and 75%, but I do not have any trouble as I've said already receiving any of the signals from Bilsdale. My television receiver is Panasonic model TX-L 375B, and it indoor aerial is a Maxview - C3010 - Truvision Set Top Aerial by Maxview (Accessory) . I normally get my television signal from Emley Moor. So in other words Bilsdale seems to be working okay where I am, which is about 3 to 4 miles south of Wetherby in West Yorkshire.

Ian: You are missing COM5 multiplex. See here for an explanation as to a possible cause for loss from Bilsdale after switchover:

Try a manual tune first, if your receiver allows.

teessider: First off I'd try a manual tune on UHF channel 46.
Do you have COM4 (ITV3) and COM6 (Film4)?
Do you know anything about your aerials? Do they have red tips?
