Neville Wake: which mux are you receiving on C42? This is not a frequency used by the main transmitter, but you could be receiving an additional weaker signal from a relay, such as Millburn Muir for example, (if you are located to the Southwest of Glasgow) which has been tuned in erroneously.

Check that your TV is tuned to the transmissions from Black Hill and not those from Roseneath, which could be received poorly vai the back of your aerial. It is best to check which channel numbers have been tuned in using the manual method, the User Manual for your TV should tell you how to do that.

Hmm, ok. That's not helped; BBC 1 (101) and 2 (102) HD have been dropped from the channel list.

Ok, I've unplugged the Freeview box, and routed the aerial directly into the TV. Retuning pulled back all of the channels that I'd 'lost'. I've put the aerial back into the Freeview box, retuned (again), and the channels are back. And they seem to have a good signal strength as well. Fingers crossed that this is an end to the inconvenience.

Andrew: You shouldn't retune - it just wipes out what you know thats works. It sounds like you may have a problem with your system - or possibly just the box or a cable. Check your signal levels on both devices, and perhaps wap out an aerial cable - its a cheap fix if ones got a probalem.

The signals come and go.too weak to run a box and TV.Worse in morning when I want to watch Channel 5.

alexei romanov: look at the digitaluk link. Your 40km from Black Hill with good reception - so check your tuned to Black Heath. If you are, then look at signal strength. If its that low, check your system - sounds like something is wrong there.

The reception of Had is better than ordinary today but the sound cuts out, it doesn't do this on BBCnewsHD.Want to watch the Rangers game on BBCAlba but I am getting sound only on this channel at present.It is tuned to Blackhill,the TV won't tune to weaker signals from other transmitter
