The symbol shows the location of the Black Hill (North Lanarkshire, Scotland) transmitter which serves 940,000 homes. The bright green areas shown where the signal from this transmitter is strong, dark green areas are poorer signals. Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Black Hill (North Lanarkshire, Scotland) mast?

Baffling that, in boness, we seem to ping from the Black Hill transmitter instead of the one across the water in Fife! Never been able to pick up all Freeview stations (all advertised Sony channels is a bugbear).

Kirsty : If you provide a full postcode we can see what the predicted reception is at your location. If you can see the transmitter across the water you may be able to simply turn your aerial around to point at it.

I assume Kirsty is referring to the Craigkelly transmitter (which she might not be able to see, but maybe could receive).

Lorraine Smith: Nobody else is reporting any problems. Have you checked with any neighbours on the same communal system? If it isn't working for others in the building, report the problem to whoever is responsible for maintaining the communal system.

C Fraser :

Can't find any reports of problems at the Black Hill transmitter by Freeview or the BBC, nor is any Planned Engineering listed, assuming that's the transmitter you are receiving. You might be receiving a Relay or another Main transmitter, in which case a full postcode and which way your aerial is pointing would be needed to offer further advice if the problem is still continuing.

Check you are correctly tuned to the Black Hill UHF channels, see Black Hill (North Lanarkshire, Scotland) Full Freeview transmitter | free and easy
