Simon27 thanks for that, I use virgin for general viewing so I'm not worried about weaker signals as long it works. I also haven't got a echostar box so that's not a problem. Ive actually found SE by manual tuning the signal strength bar is in the red and the signal quality is 30 and traffic causes break up, hopefully when i make the adjustments it will be ok

Very odd behaviour here in Faversham, I can pick up the Crystal Palace transmitter no trouble at all with perfect signal but no matter what I try I can't get bluebell hill to work properly at all, constantly getting drop out on channels etc, would be nice to get local channels/news etc

Any ideas?

Please could someone help me. I have lost all reception to freeview and when trying to retune no channels pick up. I have rang freeview and they advised that nothing is wrong. I live in a block of flats where two other neighbours who use freeview have also lost reception. Please could someone help. I live in Rochester, post code ME1 1HX

Roger: If this is a communal aerial system you and your neighbours are using then it is down to the party responsible to sort it out, and therefore it is that party you need to speak to.

Transmitter: Bluebell Hill
Loft mounted Aerial - 3.5 years old installed in new build property.
Location: Strood.
We have been experiencing loss of all signal intermittently over the last 3 days - it seems to be ok in the mornings, but afternoon / evening some, later all, channels report 'No Signal' I had a look at the BBC transmitter page, and it said there were problems reported on Monday, but I can't work out why it's ok earlier in the day. Tested 3 different freeview boxes and one tv with freeview built in running in different rooms: got the same result with all of them.

Hello all,

I am going to be installing an aerial this week and despite some significant googling I am unclear as to what aerial I should get for Blue bell Hill. I live in Wainscott (ME3) and depending on the site I go to am seeing recommendation for group B, E and W aerials. I have an existing aerial but I do not think it is that great and I have no idea what group it is either.

I am also wondering as to whether Crystal Palace may be the better option even though it is further away, the reason being that I have to loft mount and my loft is at the back of my house so to point it to BBH means the signal will have to go through the loft and an adjoining bedroom and outer wall whereas for CP it would just need to point straight through the roof in the other direction.

Thanks

Neil
