Reception from the Brierly Hill transmitter is good most of the time but disappears when it rains, this affects mainly the BBC channels although the signal is poor on other channels.

Hi I retuned for the Olympics and got BBC4 in HD from the Brierley Hill transmitter. I was encouraged to retune and lost it again. So it can work on the a BH transmitter, do you think they'll ever put BBC4 HD back?

Paul: BBC 4 HD received a temporary increase in coverage for the duration of the Olympics. It has now returned to it's normal broadcast capacity on the temporary COM7 multiplex, which is not transmitted from Brierley Hill. BBC 4 HD isn't likely to return until the BBC stops broadcasting in SD and make all their channels HD only, which is likely to be some time around the end of the decade (no firm date has been announced yet).
