Beacon Hill will stop transmitting the channels to Torbay at the end of March, with the rest of Cornwall they will stop from 19 June 2019. These channels are on the so-called com7 and com8 multiplexes, which are being withdrawn from Cornwall. This is ahead of the rest of the UK where the licence expires May 2020.

On channels broadcast on COM6 we have been experiencing reception problems when we have good weather. The image is pixelated and audio is missing sections of words. When the weather is "normal" we have no problems, what can we do to maintain a good reception at all times. This has only recently started and we cannot pinpoint any incident that would have triggered it.

S Bilton:
It ois possible that the current warm/hot weather is causing atmospheric inversion problems. There is nothing you can do about the natural phenomenon. All you can do is to make sure that your aerail system and all the cables are in perfect condition. Also unplug and then refit all coaxial plugs/sockets to ensure there is no oxidationon the contacts.
