Another thought occurred if the has been up for quite a while it may be an older Group A type for which cuts off at channel 37.

As channel 39 falls into the Group K band which covers 21 - 48.

Sounds like your is too good/strong sounds like you need to attenuate the signal in other words turn it down.
A 20db attenuator will probably solve your issue.

In cases were your close to the the TV tuner can get overloaded.

If you have any internal in the Tv menu ensure it is off. Make and model of your setup may and was it fine before ? If so then I would say its overload.

Maybe it will sound strange, but before here was impossible to receive any . I tested on two different freeview boxes. Now I have TV with built-in freeview. (Digihome LED22913FHDDVD). So, you think a attenuator will solve it? (54.6054,-5.9849)

In that case first thing to do is speak to a neighbour or two and see if they are having issues as you should have been getting it before . Find that out first as my previous post is probably irrelevent . The more info you can give the better chance of resolving it.

If your neighbours are getting it then its a fault with your setup.

I have a free view box BT179LE
I receive bbc hd and channel 4 hd
but cannot get rte
I have an external and previously had a clear rte
I assume my box is hd if I recieve bbc hd
any ideas?

M Collins: What aerials have you got pointing where?

Are these (if you have more than one) connected together so as to allow you to view from each on the same TV?

At your location the following may be possibilities:

- (): horizontal @ 352 degrees
- (Freeview): aerial vertical @ 339degrees
- (): aerial vertical @ 201degrees

I have an rte as well as one for bbc. (plus unused )
I am not sure of the where they are pointing. (probably )
Previously I had rte and the other on the same tv

Last night on a regular tuner (on a dvd recorder) i was able to receive audio for rte but no . I assumed this was because the tuner was not hd.
I also have a free view box which receives bbc hd it will not pick up rte
I wonder should I search on a different .

If you have no satellite signal, see Sky Digibox says 'No Signal' or 'Technical fault'

If you have other problems, please provide a full (not partial) postcode (or preferably enter it in box at the top right) and indicate where if aerial is on the roof, in the loft or elsewhere.
