Transmitter engineering: is there a problem with HD transmissions from Eyemouth. Many outages over the past few months. Sony tv channel 101 BBC Scotland has been replaced by BBC 1 HD. Channel 804 that normally has BBC 1HD is displaying ZDF

Put your post code into the Digital UK Coverage Checker at Digital UK - Coverage checker That will tell you if there are any problems and what channels are being used. If you also check at http://www.digitaluk.co.u…ngs, it will tell you what channels are available at your location.
There are no reported problems with the transmittter so it is worth checking all the connections between your aerial and TV.

MikeP: Despite there being no reported problems there have been many outages in the past few days.
Could this be because of high atmospheric pressure causing poor signal strength?
N.B Outages only on BBC channels, ITV unaffected

R Gray:
As stated, there are no engineering works reported on the Eyemouth transmitter.
You may well be suffering from tropospheric lift conditions which can affect one, some or all of the transmissions, depending on the frequencies being used and how they are being affected by the natural phenomenon. DO NOT RETUNE. Patience is a virtue in these circumstances as nothing can be done about the effects that have been known for over 50 years.
