Thanks for your reply Briantist. I wonder then what I can do to get the full Freeview? Would it be possible to pick up the signal from the Knockmore transmitter if I buy a signal booster/amplifier for the back of my set?
Any advice welcome.

Sheila: You need a replacement or additional aerial pointing to Knockmore to receive all the Freeview channels. Trying to use a booster to amplify a weak signal (if there is one) which has been picked up on the side of the "wrong" aerial is likely to give very poor results and could overload your tuner with too much signal on the channels you already have.

Thanks KMJ for your very helpful information. I'll not bother with an amplifier then. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be possible to redirect our aerial. We are in a tall bulding and the aerial maybe on the roof or in the loft. I will have a word with the landlord. But I don't think we can redirect it towards Knockmore. :( I might just have to wait until we can move house to get a better range of channels.

Just noticed KMJ that you said, an additional aerial pointing to Knockmore might do the trick. Is it really possible to attach a second aerial to the back of the set. I guess it's possible to buy a splitter of some kind? Perhaps I should get an indoor aerial with a booster and point that at Knockmore and not bother with the one on the roof/in the loft? Any advice welcome :) Thanks.

Sheila: An indoor aerial is unlikely to give reliable reception from Knockmore. A single wideband aerial mounted on the roof should give good reception of all six muxes from Knockmore. The reference to an additional aerial was to suggest that if reception of the stronger signals from the local relay is prefered for the PSB muxes, a second aerial pointing at Knockmore for reception of the COM muxes could be linked via a diplexer to the existing downlead. If the aerial currently in use for the relay transmissions is a group B type (chosen to suit the frequencies in use on the relay) it would not be suitable for redirecting towards Knockmore.
