Mr Ray Dowdall : As no faults are listed against the Littleborough transmitter, the problem referred to more likely caused by the power supply to the communal blocks aerial distribution amplifier having failed, or possibly just having been accidentally switched off!.
I would have a look around to see if any electrical maintenance vans are parked outside.
By the way, its inadvisable to retune equipment just because the signal has vanished, as all this achieves is to delete everything stored in the tuners memory, frequent retunes then being necessary to recover same otherwise it wont be known when the signal has returned.
