I spoke too soon - signal all gone again!
Let's hope that the new aerial being fitted tomorrow will rectify our issues.
I wonder about all the mobile transmitters around our house (some quite close) and whether they are interfering with the digital signal?

HoodedOracle: Blaming 3/4G is a bit of a favourite, although almost certain unfairly.
It sounds like you've got old coax which sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't. Let us know if things improve.
BTW - I just noticed on one of your previous posts that 'Though my neighbours are also having signal issues - but it is likely because they are using boosters - they have taken the boosters out and seem to have better signal now? '. Yep! Your 25km from the transmitter, which is fairly close when you consider how power levels have gone up.

FreeView Signal worse since Apr retune. Also had Freesat for main TV (dual tuner).
We have a frequently poor signal on BBCA mux ch49 since it moved freq., but also on all the channels above 700Mhz (Ch52, Ch54, Ch56). Location Stroud top of hills GL6 8.
We have a Labgear 16.5dB high-gain wideband (future proof for Mendip change) aerial installed, and then dual screened satellite quality cable /F-Connectors to internal distribution amp, feeding dual screened cable to multiple televisions 3xPanasonic / 1xSony all seeing the same quality level issue (drops and then rises again) and breakup. The signal strength is middle and drops occasionally, with a concurrent drop in quality. It is poorer still with windy/wet weather. Have considered buying a 4G 800Mhz filter, but no 4G here yet (only in Bristol?).
Got better before analogy switch off when I removed the masthead booster from circuit.
Have tried full reset/retune of TV's.
Have tried replacing dist amp with simple splitter
What next ??

Gareth: have you tried connecting the aerial lead directly to one of the tv's (with an f to f coupler) and seeing what the strength and quality are like then? i'm not a fan of any labgear product really but have you ruled out the aerial?

Andrew: my TV reception has failed and went down last night, 27th. Oct. I view through a Humax Video Recorder. On selecting a given station, the TV Screen brings up detail of the programme I should be watching but then details "No or bad signal". Any ideas on what has gone wrong?

K.M.Riley: You havn't included a postcode, but I'd guess that if you have a roof top aerial, then last nights storm might well have loosened or broken the cable from the aerial. Try following the connection back from the Humax through to the aerial. If its on the roof, you might well need a professional, who might be pretty busy for the next week!

Gareth Rhys: Your postcode is a bit difficult to pin down for a terrain plot, but a generic one does bring up a decent signal on the tradeview (even though Mendip is 64km away), which is supported by the fact that your on a hill, and that your signal was improved by the removal of your booster.
4G is unlikely, since you have no booster (ok - the aerial does boost, but still...), and you seem to get a pretty good signal. Personally, I suspect that most '4G' problems are actually something else anyway.
You've good good cabling, good connectors, etc, and Panasonic/Sony have good sensitive tuners. Its true that three TV's might lead to a drop in signal strength to each one, but I suspect the problem is more than that.
However, there is one thing that immediately stands out - ' The signal strength is middle and drops occasionally, with a concurrent drop in quality. It is poorer still with windy/wet weather.'
'Poorer still with windy/wet weather' - it sounds like you have a problem with the connection between the aerial and the tv, and its very possible that its the result of a loose connection, corroded or waterlogged coax, etc.Since its all three TV's, its above the splitter.
You might need a pro to examine the parts on the roof, but at least study the cabling you can see.
Let us know what happens, and if you can put you full postcode on any future comment, we can see the exact terrain plot.

Re Gareth, you sound from the postcode like you're round the corner from my parents, who have generally had better Freeview reception from Mendip than I do here in Bristol, so for Mike B I'd tend to trust the generic signal forecast. Unfortunately my phone's just gone down, so I can't ask them if they've had Freeview issues recently. I note that they didn't seem to have much storm impact this week, but all the rain could have got into cabling.
