hI,I think everyone has to take a step back and learn something,UHF radio waves are like light waves,in spite of high tx powers, there are areas that are below the radio horizon, signals can be bounced off local objects and the signal field will cancel ,sometimes putting a tv aerial on the roof may not be the best place, good signals can be found in funny places, perhaps freesat maybe could be better option for certain people,If people listen to advice then that would a way forward and not run around like a headless chickens...n

Without any idea of where you are located we cannot offer any meaningful advice.
Bear in mind, also, that we contributors have knowledge and experience between us that we try to use to assist in answering questions, mostly from people having reception difficulties.

llovera: There are no faults or engineering work showing for Mendip. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV and BT box?

I live in trowbridge, wilts approx 25 mls from the transmitter. for the last 3-4 weeks have been experiencing intermittent low signal strength, sometimes only 50%, mostly on ITV, Ch4, ITV2..and other freeview channels; today its at 65-70%... How long is this going to carry on for ..?

Andy Griffiths:
I, too, live in Trowbridge and there is no problem with either the Mendip transmitter nor the signal reception at my location.
I would suggest you check all the aerial leads and connections as well as checking what the reported signal strengths are for each multiplex. Then you should check that you are tuned to the correct services fro Mendip.
If you provide a full post code we could check whether there are any problems at your location.
