I'm in Brislington in Bristol and have my tv connected to the main roof aerial. Have retuned manually, automatically and have reset my Samsung Freeview 3D tv about 5 times and nothing works, I can only get ITV1&2, C4, C5, C4+1, ITV1+1, More4 and E4. Not a hint of other channels especially BBC. I've even tried using the other nearby transmitters just in case and emailing digital UK, who were no help at all. I'm getting fed up of it now.

I am in Little Stoke, Nth Bristol, no BBC Channels here either since last Wednesday, tried everything, digital uk said they had no idea what to do and a reset of my Technika TV hasnt worked. Have a roof top aerial which has been fine up to now and still receiving ITV etc. Does anyone have any ideas when this will get fixed or what we can do about it?

ChrisE: How about your reception of COM4 (ITV3 etc) on C48?
Some others who have poor or no BBC reception now have poor or no COM4 reception, when they did before.

I am in a dip at BA3 5XU. Roof top arial (But fairly old)
Since 27th March BBC channels from Mendip arial has been a problem.
Humax freeview box. BBCA channels are found on C49 (698.0MHz) but reception is poor and freezes a lot. Signal strength is ~75% but quality is is erratic. Average 50% but varying 40-80%
C54 ITV etc has good reception. Signal strength ~82% and quality 100%
Also appear to have problem with SDN C48 group. (these channels not found in auto search)
Channel strength and quality (manual tune) is same as BBCA.
Have tried removing any old set top boxes with no improvement.
Any ideas please? How can I tell if it's arial related?

Having re-read all these posts again, I wonder if the problem is too much signal overloading the tuner. I have signal monitoring facilities which tell me I have 99% signal strength and 100% signal quality. Much more signal and the quality would drop, possibly to zero. The frequency change could result in a stronger signal thus turning good reception into bad. Where I am (near Taunton race course) there are no buildings nearby in my line of sight to the transmitter.

Peter: You are yet another person reporting issues with PSB1 (BBC) and COM4 (SDN).
Was SDN fine before the change?
Bizman: If you are right, then I wonder could the issue be being exacerbated by the two channels being adjacent?

Since 'retuning' our TV on 27th April, we have lost BBC 'Points West' and gained 'Spotlight', which is of absolutely no interest!
Have manual tuned C58 and the other BBC channel. C58 didn't exist and other Mendip related channel signals were very poor.
I'm pretty certain that we live south west of the Mendip transmitter. Aerial is in roof space - we can't change it's direction.
Would appreciate advice (although am not hopeful after reading all these comments!).
It's a total mess IMHO!

Oh, by the way, there are numerous reports of lost channel signals in your comments section. However, your website states that there isn't a problem with the Mendip transmitter coverage ... which there obviously is!
Why is this the case?

Sue B: This website is "independent" of broadcasters, as it states in the titlebar of every page.
The message at the top does NOT say that there are no faults; it says that there are no REPORTED faults. This is still the case.
If you are receiving Spotlight then you cannot be tuned to Mendip, for BBC One, at least. You are probably tuned to Stockland Hill on C26. Unplug your aerial for the first 50% of the scan and it should miss out scanning of Stockland's channels.

Bizman: Although I fully appreciate what you are meaning, but though I very much doubt if a "boost free" signal being received from Mendip @ 26 miles away would be capable of overloading a tuner no matter what level might be indicated on a TV or boxes strength / quality scale, unless that is the levels were being viewed on a Humax devices indicator as these are much more in line with reality rather than the grossly enhanced indications seen on some equipment, such as for example Panasonic TV's albeit that these are fitted with top tuners.
