Can someone tell me clear information about HD on the Nottingham transmitter. Is it available and if so on what dates.
Please don't tell me information about other transmitters because I only get Nottingham.
Also why can't I seem to find this information, I have looked really had for it.

OK it seems HD should be on Nottingham although I found it hard to get that information here. You need to know what to look for.
My TV does not have HDfreeview so I can't get it on that. I have a USB freeview stick which says it is HD and I can't get it on that either, however I never really believed I could. It only cost about £10 so I can't grumble too much. It is now possible to get similar sticks which do receive HD however they are expensive compared to the SD ones at about £60 so I might give it a miss for the time being and just get a HDfreeview recorder for the TV.

bren: It does say, above
"BBCB Maximum 256QAM 32k 2/3 40Mb/s DVB-T2 MPEG4 400W
50 BBC One HD (UK service without regions), 51 ITV 1 HD (ITV Central West), 52 Channel 4 HD Midlands ads, 54 BBC HD,
ââ¬Â¢ as a digital multiplex transmitted on frequency C21+ (474.2MHz)"
Please see What does "Full HD Ready" actually mean? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice - you MUST have a DVB-T2 receiver, a DVB-T receiver with MPEG4 will not work.

Nottingham
My post code is NG3 5BW and pleased to report excellent HD and free-view reception from the Nottingham transmitter both with an outside aerial and with a loft aerial supplying other than the main television
Looking at the switchover information for the 31st i am confused as Nottingham is not listed as a relay of either Waltham or Sutton Coldfield
I realise Nottingham has already switched but was always under the impression it was a relay station of Waltham?

Jimmy James: most of Notts gets Look North - where do you live? Sounds like digital overlap. Please provide postcode.

Anthony: Nottingham was a relay from Waltham for analogue but was set up independently for digital purposes so that Freeview could be transmitted from it. If you are on Nottingham and have successfully switched you are OK and need not take notice of the Waltham or Sutton Coldfield retunes.
