I was surprised on Sunday 1st July 2012 for my Humax Freeview Box to prompt me of the need to re-tune (for the Over Norton transmitter). I though that the "Digital Switch" was completed some time ago. Could you tell me if the re-tune for Sunday was (a) to bring in further channels and (b) if the switch is complete or I can expect further re-tuning?
Thanks,
Dave

Dave Whetstone: There is no further retune required for Over Norton. There was a retune affecting Suffolk, Essex and Kent so maybe the messages relate to that.

J.Haworth: Because 5* is purely a commercial programme that's transmitted by the SDN mux, this not being available from Over Norton as its purely a PSB relay known as a Freeview-Light station.

J.Haworth: See this explanation, which applies likewise to the Over Norton transmitter:

Durris (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) full-Freeview transmitter | ukfree.tv - 10 years of independent, free digital TV advice

5* is available on Freesat or you "may" be able to receive it from another transmitter.
