Have just tried to topup tv and in the main is rubbish, pixelation on most . Have sports channel and cannot even get QVC (Channel 16) for it to activate through. Am on , how can I check if it's powered down because of work? Topup TV say it is but is this passing the buck?

My ITV from keeps breaking up. sometimes freezes.
This happens at infrequent times of the day and not every day. I used to switch on to BT Vision box and this cleared it up but that is even causing problems now.
BBC reception is first class.
Please if possible
