Ridgehill:-
BBC4 on ch63? this was switched off on 6th April as part of DSO switchover part 1.
It is now on ch28.
From the 20th April part 2 of DSO should happen. You will find CH21+/CH22+/CH24/CH25/CH27/CH28 should give you all of the Freeview channels available including HD.

Sid: They don't actually shut down Mux B at stage 1, you just get two copies of the BBC channels in the two weeks between step 1 and step 2.
John: People who had good reception before switchover often find that they have too much signal once switchover starts. If you have an amplifier or booster, remove it. If not, or that doesn't help, try adding an attenuator. If it is a case of too much signal, it will probably get worse after switchover.
If Mux B on C63 is working with a Group A aerial, you are probably very close to the transmitter - most people would find it didn't work without a wideband.

caroline: If the signal strength now is showing very high you might have too much signal, the power increase is ten times for the PSB muxes and five times for the COM muxes. However if you are having no problem currently with high power MuxBBCA you should be ok after switchover step2.It is perfectly reasonable for some amplification to be used to run 4 tvs and the aerial installer should have installed equipment which would be ok after switchover. If you merely switch off the power or remove the power supply to the amplifier the tvs might mot work at all.

tv switchover team said that Ridge Hill have having problems .
I keep getting ''no signal'' across a perfect picture at times or the screen suddenly goes blank and I lose the channel. Have retuned every day ........sometimes several times a day. Engineers said my signal was fine .
