Sky are updating software on stbs in October, this update will take away the option to turn off/on rf2.
Does anybody know if this will make the rf2 permanently ON or OFF??????
This could affect everyone that uses a magic eye!
regards

Mel: Firstly check your aerial - a broken connection, loose cable may be the problem.
Also look at the terrain plot for your postcode - there is a big something sticking up about 6km away from you between the transmitter and your location, which is possibly a problem. perhaps one of the reception gurus can add more.

MEL.
Hi, I am an installer local to you and know your location well.
It is very good for reception, so there must be something wrong with either the aerial, the cabling, the tv or if the aerial feeds multiple rooms it could be the splitter/amp.
If you don't get a resolve and want a free assessment the please contact me.
I am an approved RDI installer.

Mel: Please also note that engineering works have been (and still are) taking place at the Rowridge transmitter over the last couple of weeks or so and which could result in the disruption of services, e.g: possible weak signals or breaks in transmission etc, and if anyone carries out a retune whilst any of those two possibilities mentioned are actually taking place then this is very likely to result in no signal being received.
It should also be pointed out, that if at any time selecting a programme channel results in a blank screen then you should resist the temptation to carry out a retune, as all that's achieved by "not" doing is the wiping out of everything already stored in the tuners memory, this then creating the situation whereby its necessary to carry out rescans in an attempt to recover the lost channels which would have returned of their own accord anyway.

I live in Broadstone Dorset BH18 and recently have been having trouble receiving Channels broadcast on the COM5 Mux. Regular auto scans to retune my TV Set (Samsung Smart TV) either don't pick up COM5 channels at all or if it does they are unwatchable. All other channels/Muxs are perfect. Is there an explanation for this please?

Noticed yesterday that intermittent reception on CH22/COM5/ArqA
Assume this to be engineering even though no updates for today. No channels at all today on CH22
Location - west of Worthing BN12
