Had new digital aerial fitted couple of years back, cos the analogue aerial was 40 years old and terminal had suffered from water damage over the years. The new aerila worked fine, though signal quality/strength were poor on ch4, uktv history and others. No problems until a few days prior to Royal wedding, picture/sound breakup started first on Ch4, then even to BBC1/2. Completely spurious.Mercifully behaved ok during the wedding. Then few days ago, reception improved markedly on BBC1/2. Ch4 and Yesterday are still very problemattic. Signal strength/quality is all over the place, swinging wildly from no signal to good! Any suggestoions anyone? When the aerial was upgraded, it was not set up using any meters! The installer pointed it in the right direction! Any suggestions please someone.

Bob-ji - Are others in the area having same problem? If so, probably weather, or adjustment of transmitters.
If just you, has aerial moved? Should point due south I think.
If you have multiple TVs try connecting one at a time.

Bob-ji - I know that from clicking on the links next to your name - which are worth a visit if you have not. As is this.

A Field strength of 52 dBV/m is not super strong, but should be fine.
You do have a rooftop aerial? Is it looking through trees? (LL145HD)

Thanks Steve, I do have a rooftop aerial, it does look thru a large oak tree, located about 80 feet away. However, it has been doing so for 40 years and no problems. The recent problem did appear when the tree grew foliage, so I guess that was the straw that broke the camels back, but something else must have caused a signal degradation too. The aerial has not moved as far as I can tell.

I have a PVR-9200T and all my ITV channels are not being received on my TV. Rowridge 32 has very poor or no frequency and won't pick up these channels when I re-install my PVR. Is anyone else in this area having problems? Any suggestions?
