The TV signals have been breaking up all today. This evening all the ITV stations went off air from just before 10pm till 10:10.
We had a new Arial with boosters last year to gain the benefits of The Isle of White transmitter?!
Please advise as to how reception can be improved and why we have these problems.

There are no reported faults at the Rowridge transmitter. However, there are many reports of the high pressure affecting television transmissions again. This happens regularly when there is high pressure around. As it is a well known and completely natural phenomenon there is nothing anyone can do about it. Just be patient and wait for the weather pattern to change.

On a number of occasions I am unable to get a picture on my TV early in the morning 6am onwards till round 9am, after that it is fine, this does not happen every day but is paticularly bad at this time of the year, usually no problem in winter!!
Why please? I live in Christchurch Dorset and presume Rowbridge is my transmitter.

Double Trouble. From here, beyond Rowridge and in direct line, is Brest. In line the other way, beyond Whotehawk is Amiens or thereacbbouts. At 86 I am not strong enough to push my bungalow upmthe hill!. It is usually when weather is fine and there is a lift on that we get interference, particularly Chan 20.

I can't see any reports of transmitter problems at present, hopefully your signals have returned. If you put your postcode into Digital UK - Coverage checker it should show the predicted reception at your location. Especially as COMs 7&8 are on lower power compared to the other multiplexes, it's possible that since other transmitter changes on the 31st July now sharing the same channels as part of a SFN (Single Frequency Network) you may have interference particularly with the current weather conditions.
