I retuned my TV on 21st March and BBC News Channel moved from channel 80 to channel 801. I then retuned manually but that didn't fix my problem. There was no problem after the 7th March retune.

My aerial is on the roof and reception is good.

Out of interest, the "Transmission Frequencies After Wednesday 21st March 2012" towards the top of the page don't appear to match the "Freeview Multiplex List" channels?
This adds to an already confusing situation :(

@Patrick
That's happened because you have picked up channels from another BBC region as well, different equipment behaves differently when it finds duplicate BBC channels, if its HD channels newer equipment should ask which region to use
I found the easiest option is to delete the BBC channels and then do a manual scan of C24 if its done similar with the HD channels then do the same thing and do a manual scan of C21

Just to add to what I wrote above I meant to say delete "all" the SD BBC channels or all the hd channels then do a manual scan of C24 or C21

Pete: The signal strength is the same as it was, but they have changed the mode of Mux B so that it has enough capacity to even carry Sky Sports 1 & 2. This mode change is what has caused the problem, for some viewers on the edge of the previous coverage area.
Before Wednesday, the channels were carried (on a temporary basis, for regions yet to switch over) on the BBC's Mux B, but this has now changed to a completely incompatible mode in order to carry the HD channels. The 'matched' capacity had become available because the BBC shut down all the services that wouldn't fit after switchover, and squeezed some others into Mux 1. The permanent home was always going to be ArqB.
The main source of interference is probably Crystal Palace BBC Two, which will close on 4 April, so you may see some improvement then. After 18 April's retune, Rowridge ArqB will still be co-channel with Crystal Palace ArqB, but Rowridge will have had a power increase to 50 kW. If it's still a problem, you may want to consider switching the aerial to vertical polarization, which will broadcast at 200 kW.

Kev: The 'Transmission Frequencies' section should really say 'Final Situation' - it doesn't take account of the short hangover period we're now in, where multiplexes A and C are yet to convert to their final mode, and A, C and ArqB are all running on pre-switchover channels.

Ah.. Thanks Mike,, that now makes more sense :) so it's the post 'April 18th' situation.. is there no end to this retuning ;-)

Thanks for the explanation, but unfortunately, this still leaves me £40 out of pocket for Sky Sports 1 and 2 with not the slightest warning, missing loads of looked forward to sport.
Seemingly, all so London have a problem free switchover !

Pete, Sally: with reference to C33, Crystal Palace *will* still use it from 4 to 18 April. It will just be carrying ITV1 rather than BBC Two (because this channel will ultimately be released, BBC A takes over ITV1's frequency not BBC Two's, so ITV1 has to move out of the way). So you won't see any improvement until 18 April.
Crystal Palace *by itself* serves nearly 4.5 million households, and when you add all the relays it's at least 5 million. And yes, more of them are the ABC1s that the advertisers are particularly interested in. Unfortunately, Crystal Palace and Rowridge are both Group A transmitters, and there are only 10 frequencies remaining in this group after switchover (those above C30 are released). Two lots of six into 10 doesn't go, so some services had to use the same channels, unless Rowridge commercial multiplexes were put out of group. That would have required everyone to get a new aerial. However, the selected channels are *already* in use, for low-power digital multiplexes 1, 2 and B (BBC and main ITV/C4/C5 channels) at Crystal Palace, so they can't be used *yet*.
