Issues recently with losing Freeview channels/breaking up. Local Facebook group has few people with the same issues. Sandy Heath is the transmitter. Been bad for a few weeks now. I know it is weather related but the signal is so poor it drops out quite a lot

Mike Rowe:
Please make sure you are tuned to the Sandy Heath transmitter as others are potentially receivable at your location, though there would be problems such as you are experiencing. You can find the correct channels by looking at Coverage Checker - Detailed View and scro;;ing down to the listing for Sandy Heath. Also ensure that you are using a wideband aerial and not a 'grouped' type as used to be used before changes to the transmission channels earlier this year.
I would not rely on Facebook postings as they could well be unreliable and from people with little or no technical knowledge.

We are in CB10 2TL getting a signal from Sandy Heath. Recently we are seeing issues with as lot of channels intermittently. The aerial was replaced a few years ago and due to our position the cable runs into an Antiference amplifier then on to 3 feeds. Each of the feeds is showing the same losses. Signal strength can be as low as 34% on BBC1 SD with a high number of bitrate errors. HD channels also sometimes weak, but not always. I've remade the cable terminations, but no better. Is this likely to be an aerial or amplifier problem? Thank you!

Hi Neil.
Like you I've had issues however ok for the last few days. Issues lasted weeks so can't be high pressure.
