Hi Andy, Just checked and it is not good. The Ch5 picture is clearly visible but there is quite a strong ghost image underneath which appears like a black and white grid pattern.According to the reception checkers/predictors, I should have HD from Sutton Coldfield now.

HD Mux from Lichfield seems to be on low power right now.

Grumps: If you have poor reception on analogue Channel 5, you won't be able to get Freeview HD. Use the analogue Channel 5 as a guide to getting a perfect signal and Freeview HD will work.

Yeah - HD mux was unwatchable last night - usually is fine.

Anyone know what the change in April to Sutton C'field as listed on the Digital UK site is? The HD mux is showing better reception for me then - is it moving from Lichfield to Sutton then?

adrenalize: No, switchover is Wednesday 21st September 2011, the changes are caused by other transmitters analogue services being closed down.

I watched Hd all last night in Nuneaton and it was fine as normal, not sure why yours was not unless they are still messing with the transmitter.

Tried to get best Ch5 analogue signal but despite lining the aerial in exactly the right direction and trying all heights possible in the loft, I can't improve the picture dramatically. So obviously I am still not getting HD. Does anyone know if that means it will remain unavailable for me in Solihull (via Sutton Coldfield transmitter) until September or would a roof mounted aerial resolve the problem now (if I can get the permission)?
