Between work myself and a relative we have 3 Sony RDR HXD890's and 2 of the 3 are locked into and therefore no - when will a solution be found?

DM: This problem was rectified for most people yesterday, the fault apparently being caused by a defect in COM5's EPG data, but to get the device out of the update press and hold the / standby button on the recorder for about 5 seconds and this might effect a cure, if it doesnt then the other method "which returns the box to its factory settings" is to (on the recorder) hold down the stop button and then press the on/standby button, all settings will be reset and the box will turn off.

This will as would be expected, require you to carry out a retune to recover the channels.

Hello, my every few minutes keep losing sound and the pauses for a couple of seconds, is this due to work being carried out on the , are there alot of people having the same problem, I have tried all the reset procedures etc, thanks

I've lost all from PSB2 and COM5. They disappeared a few weeks ago, but I didn't worry too much as this page was showing problems. This page is now showing no faults, but the channels are still missing. I've tried rescanning, but no joy. This is through both BT and through the built in tuner on a Samsung tv. Any ideas anyone?

Re PSB2, COM5 & 4. Just come back from a week away and found these have problems. One has jerky and no sound, one has 'No Service' message, one (which on up) seems OK. Not checked others yet.
The receiver with jerky video came good after a rescan but Davejavu still affected ( presumably have to rescan again when it's carrying program).
I don't recall seeing any warnings about changes, nor can I find any info about what changed and why. These changes are a pain. It's not as simple as just 'Rescan your receiver'. Duff channels have to be edited out, Favourites rebuilt and on a couple of RXs the channel numbering has to be rebuilt as well to get the LCNs in the right place. Can anyone point me to link that says what changed? Also, a recent service history list would be useful. thanks
