The fact you got all channels in the loft suggests that a better amplifier would solve the problem. A wide band adjustable gain one should be ok. Otherwise if youre giving up on com7/8 I would turn the aerial to pick up Sudbury to get all the main multiplexes probably without needing any amplifier.

paul: Some multiplexes changed frequency at Tacolneston last week. PSB1 is now found on UHF channel 40.

Paul . the frequencies on this page under "march 2018 " are correct . But they shuffled the final allocations so that PSB1 (BBCA) is actually on channel 40, for example, as Stevens says.
In addition com7 and com8 are on 55 and 56 . These two are on a lower power so may be a bit difficult to get in fringe areas.

Hardy: Have you got a product you could suggest? Turning the aerial is not an option as it is too high up.

DJB .I think this amplifier is worth a try . Especially if your aerial is pointing north towards Tacolneston rather than west to Sudbury. It is variable gain so that it can be adjusted (hopefully!) to a sweet spot where there is neither too much or too little gain. Wolsey WFAV 25 LTE 1 Way Variable Gain Masthead Amplifier with Power Supply Kit - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics .Ideally an amplifier should be on the mast . But in your case the next best place is in the loft where you can set up the gain. . The power unit can be anywhere . Perhaps next to the tv. Let us know if it works!

DJB:

Aerials are usually 'grouped' to receive a restricted range of channels, unless you have a wideband aerial already. So turning the aerial may actually make matter worse as the current aerial may not suit the alternative transmitter and you could lose more channels.

I have a TV which some time has static interference lines.
The tv is the youngest of the tv's - just under 2 years old. Our other tv is fine. I have scanned the tv approx 4 times now but we still have this problem. Please help.
