Dave Hunter: OK - I have to tell you that my Goodmans box has also started freezing up the past couple of weeks (the bush and the Goodmans are same apart from the name). There seems to be certain its worse on, but retuning isn't going to make a blind bit of difference (since they dont manually tune, it can make things worse). BBC channels tend to be worst for this, but I suspect its the box reacting badly to a slight change. Software patches seem very unlikely.

I'm thinking of chucking the box if its not much better, since the only way I can reset it is to pull out the at the back, and put it back in.

In the long term, any new TV will have a decent tuner built in...
