Steve Morton: Further to what I mentioned regarding your particular model NOT being fitted with an HD tuner, this info being from a technical manual, I had a quick scout around at the various companies selling that model and was quite simply appalled by the constant reference to HD quality being mentioned but without the proviso that it was via the HDMI input.
If you purchased that model purely on the basis of what the supplier advised then you are entitled to either a refund or exchange, reference to this being seen on the undermentioned link (4th article down on the user reviews) where someone else was misled.

Many thanks for this information - you are right! The detailed spec includes this:
DVB-T2 Broadcast systems (RL95 series only)
The RL95, of course, is the larger screen size. I bought the TV through Amazon, and, as it also seems to have trouble maintaining a secure connection to our wireless network, I shall look at returning it for a refund.
Thanks again for your help.

For about 3 weeks all itv stations have been getting interference with the picture (small boxes differant colours and no volume) this happening to most people on freeview boxes and with aerial on roof or in loft all getting the same. I know about 10 thats having problems. Can you help to sort this out please.

I agree with Rita, Bideford.
For about 3 weeks, all ITV stations on Ch.25 (D3+4) are subject to almost continuous disruption, while Ch.28 (BBCA) is providing normal reception. Signal strength and quality are usually high, but Ch.25 currently shows up on technical information as variable, even as "no signal".
The same symptoms appear with both roof and internal aerials, on different receivers.

I agree with Brian .. and it has now gotten so bad on all the itv stations that they are virtually un-watchable whilst the bbc channels are still good.. my particular area (Westward Ho) is a known bad spot anyway, and we do not get all the freeview channels normally, (although had a good signal on the ones we could actually get until recently) but this new situation has just about made it pointless to have tv here..

You'd have thought that the TV repair man would've reported it to the BBC/Digital UK after a few days of people coming in with the same problem...
