I recenty had installed a Panasonic TV which has a tuner. Autotuning is satisfactory & gives strength 10 for . The Tv is capable of producing a 1080p but the info on screen tells me that it is producing a 1080i picture.
Is there a Winter Hill transmission reason or my type reason why this should be ?
Panasonic tech support could not give me a satisfactory explanation.
you can explain.
I am using a horizontal, single reflector aerial mounted on a chimney stack which has given satisfactory performance since installed many years ago.
My postcode is WA4 6NB.

C W : The differences you refer to are not connected in any way with your system, but though if you open the undermentioned link you can read some info explaining the reason for the two different indications.

What Is the Difference Between 1080p and 1080i?

Most transmissions are 1080i/50 some are 1080p/25, your TV is simply telling you what you are getting. Some programmes, such as Top Gear, contain both formats.
