Judith Lee: Two multiplexes at Mendip moved to their final channels on 28 September, and these final locations clash with the transmissions from Usk.
My guess is that your aerial is horizontally-polarized and pointing at Mendip. Digital UK predict that you should get a reliable service from Usk if you have the right aerial set up correctly.
You will not be able to get the commercial multiplexes from Mendip any more, however.
See Will there ever be more services on the Freeview Light transmitters? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice for the explanation of why Usk will not get any more services.

Hi
We are living in the blackbarn lane area of usk but cannot find freeview signal so are assuming we have to go down the free sat route. Is this correct or should we be able to pick it up?

Ceri: Not necessarily. A booster will only help in cases where the signal isn't strong enough. If the signal is of insufficient quality then it won't help.
If it's pointing to Usk then be aware that the three channels (frequencies) it uses as the same as used by Mendip for its COM channels (those you can't get from Usk), albeit that Mendip's horizontally polarised and Usk is vertically so.
On looking at StreetView there are an awful lot of aerials facing Mendip. This, and the prediction from Digital UK, therefore makes me wonder whether the issue is interference from Mendip.
If this is the case then maybe moving the aerial to somewhere that the Mendip signal isn't likely to be as strong, but where there is still line-of-sight (albeit through the roof tiles) to the Usk transmitter.

Are there any plans for beaming DAB radio from the Usk transmitter. The current DAB and FM signals are very poor, and subject to frequent interruptions, in Usk and surrounding area.

Geoff Punnett: There are no current plans which have been announced for any further rollout of DAB transmitters. It is expected that when the government eventually set a date for FM radio to be switched off that plans will then be announced for further DAB transmitters to be rolled out in areas which currently have FM reception but don't have the same BBC and local stations available on DAB.

Are you sure the Usk repeater is Horizontally polarised?
It is approximately inline with the Mendip transmitter (Tx Hor).
Thanks.

Matthew Hall: Entering the Usk transmitter's postcode found at the top of this page into Freeview's detailed coverage checker shows that Usk is vertically polarised rather than horizontal and currently uses UHF channels 40/43/46 which are not used at Mendip, not that anything is predicted to be receivable from Mendip anyway.
