Michael Dicker:
If you have 100% signal strwength then that is the cause of your problems as it is too strong. Try fitting a 3 dB attenuator in the aerial feed adding a new short flylead so that the weight of the attenuator does not 'hang' on the aerial socket.

Peter Cole:
Its not surprising this has happened at this site. To continue to radiate COM 7 & 8 would have required another panel retrofit at the top of the mast to use panels compliant with UHF 55 & 56. When you consider a very expensive blunder happened previously in 2008 where the top antenna was initially fitted with the panels in the wrong orientation & also a faulty feeder was installed.
Caradon Hill will also close COM7 & 8 in June as an expensive panel replacement excercise would also be required.

Ignore the Line of Duty drama in the article - the point is my family who live down in Brixham are having issues since the March re-tune. Their BT Humax and TalkTalk Huawei Youview boxes (and even Televisions), are having issues of picture blanking and breaking up.
Torbay man couldn't watch Line of Duty after Freeview TV blackout - Devon Live
We've tried a number of things... Attenuator, 4G Filter (don't think its that), and new better fly leads to try and fix, but its sounds like its not just us having the issue.
The Freeview help-desk are fobbing off, but I'm encouraged its not just us in Torbay who are having issues with this reconfiguration. Even considering pointing at Stockland Hill instead.
Has anyone got any other thoughts given you might know more about frequencies and power (KW) configurations before March 2019 retune ?
Thanks in advance, Steve.

Please provide a full post code for the affected properties. Without that we cannot look at what the predicted reception conditions are for that location.

I am also having problems immediately following the March retune 2019 in Exmouth EX82JH. The picture and sound via the Humax box tuner is breaking up approx. every 10 to 20 mins for about 2 secs
The TV tuner on its own is fine. I have checked all cables, done a factory reset, manual tune etc. Have also been in touch with Humax and they have no idea what the problem could be.
Can you help please.

Robert Barrett: I have been in touch with Freeview advice since April 1 concerning this HD issue. My connection is via a BT DTR2100 (Humax) box. They accept there is a problem with Beacon Hill Transmitter but Engineers seem to be struggling finding the problem. I have provided a log of events which shows it happens every 10/11 minutes to a greater or lesser extent ( total blank screen, audio glitch, pixellation etc). The timing of the next glitch is predictable. I have tried all the other suggestions of attenuators, filters, new cables etc but to no avail. Just have to wait and see I guess.
