Following the UK Free story Do we need quiz channels? of 13 July 2006, we are very happy to report that ITV have closed their rip-off-viewers channel ITV Play.

This follows Channel 4's removal of QuizCall. Channel 4 dumps Quiz Call and can only signal to the industry that the rest of these channels should be replaced by proper TV channels on Freeview.
