Affiliated (blog)/ 2050 Tube MapTo start a new "Affiliated" blog section on UK Free TV, I know you would love to see this map of the Underground as it will look in 2050 according to the London 2050 Transport Plan. I have spent much more time on this project than I had anticipated. A lot of thanks goes to the posters on the London Reconnection site for nit-picking every possible error from this map.

Links/ The Guide #213: Should we mourn the demise of TV channels? | Culture | The GuardianThe article questions if we should mourn the disappearance of traditional TV channels in the streaming age. It notes the decline of appointment viewing, highlighted by MTV shutting music channels and a major slump in the 9 pm ratings slot. The author argues that channels once provided distinct identities and implicit trust, guiding viewers to content like Channel 4's comedies. Today, broadcasters' streaming platforms, like iPlayer, pool all programming together, making the content feel "formless" as they chase Netflix's model. This shift erodes the channel as a cultural curator, which the author feels is a loss, comparing channels at their best to respected film studios and record labels. - www.theguardian.com
