Coming this week - BBC one live online and BBC TWO live online (UK only).

The BBC's Jana Bennett said "The launch of BBC One and BBC Two online completes our commitment to make our portfolio of channels available to watch on the internet.

"From 27 November licence fee payers will be able to watch BBC programmes, live, wherever they are in the UK on their computers, mobile phones and other portable devices.

"Through iPlayer and series stacking, they'll have the option to catch up with them later."

Simon Nelson adds "Simulcasting BBC One and BBC Two is a huge advance in making our portfolio of multiplatform channels available to our audiences, and giving them the opportunity to discover the wealth of associated content the BBC is able to offer through our channel and programme sites."

Josh: Of course, it's not the BBC that does it. The Licence Fee is collected by a separate agency, who have subcontracted collections to a private company, Capita.

.

So, yes, they *do* have the resources ("detection" is part of the £93.8m "collection
costs") to "track people down", and they are contractually obliged to do so. - TV Licensing - FOI: About TV Licensing .

Savvas Makaritis: Watching outside the UK can be done, but you will need to use a "proxy server" to make the BBC website think you are in the UK.
