Normally it is traditional to wish at midnight a 'prosperous new year', but given the status of the credit crunch-recession-depression that phrase seems a little over optimistic!

So I shall say just -Bon Any Nou!

Instead I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the 14,283 posts to UK FREE TV this year. A special mention to Mark Aberfan Aerials, Jordy, Aerialman, steve bedworth Les Nicol, Michael, peter, J, NottsUK, Mark, Ian and pml who have made an outstanding number of contributions.

There are some things to look forward to this year.

First, within the week, Freeview will loose a shopping channel (Bid Up TV) and gain a Disovery channel instead. Plus a bingo channel...

And at the end of the year, Freeview HD will start in the North East of England, and perhaps in London too. Hopefully there will be some DVB-T2 boxes on sale too.
