What's coming up
Right.
Now I've been back for a few days, I think I have managed to catch-up with what is going on right now. Strange the most controversial part of the Digital Britain Report was radio.
For now, I have a few questions about when the Freeview HD service will start. From the document I have read, it seems like March 2010 might now be the starting date, and that the service will have BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and FIVE content from the outset. Perhaps.
One of the document that suggest March 2010 as a Freeview HD start date, also has the Winter Hill switch-over moved there from this November. It could be a conspiracy of silence, but Ofcom have made typos before and the schedule belongs to Digital UK. That and Digit Al.
I have made a few updates that I missed because of my absence. The correct new Rowridge frequencies are there, and I have corrected the "Sunday" anomaly for the upcoming WestCountry switchover.
Anyway, I think now that I might be able to use the computer for long enough, I'm going to be able to fix a few things.
First, I'm going to add a Twitter box looking for the #ukfree hashtag. If you use Twitter and put #ukfreetv in a tweet, it will soon appear on a box on most UK Free TV pages.
I might add a section about DAB as it seems to be so popular!
Also, I might make a "m.ukfree.tv" site for the mobile user. Would you like UK Free TV to work on your mobile?
And then there was always that Google G1 application that would show you the direction of the nearest transmitter.
If there is anything you would like to see, please let me know. And if there are any dark corners of the site that are not quite working right, also tell me and I'll fix them.
