rich: There still isn't such a thing as a digital aerial.

No but there are aerials that give more stable reception on digital as opposed to analogue.

Nedbod: That doesn't make them digital in any way shape or form.

I have been recording freeview with a twin channel tuner for about 4 years. Since Christmas my box is failing to record and increasing list of programs that are set either individually or as a series link this applies to a whole range of channels and times. I have cleared the channel list, retuned and changed the EPG from 14 day to 8 day, any suggestions? I also have the best high gain ariel I could afford and new cabling. My mother is 450 miles away with the same problem!!

katharine Huggett: Which brand and model of Freeview recorder do you have? Does your mother have the same one?

Yes, I know, but do folk in the STV North area get STV West +1 on Freesat, or as I, have to get it as a non-Freesat channel?

To be fair i was just trying to find out why i was picking up 'Challenge TV' on one box but not on the other, not about digital or non digital aerials. In my opinion Freeview tele is totally hit and miss in this country, even after all this time...oh and still no 'Challenge'. :) or should that be :(
