New transmitter overlay maps - coming soon
Coming soon!
These style maps will be introduced in the next week.
They show much better detail, as shown in this example. You will also be able to zoom in and out of the maps to see more clearly.
You can see this example, more soon...
You will also be able to view the overlay maps with satellite, road or combination maps.
Also, you will be able to get a "terrain" view of the path between 'home' and a transmitter:
Coming next .. transmitter radiation patterns, also Caradon Hill - current (old) version

hi sorry if this is the wrong location for this post but I find your site really informative, but would be interested to ask if you could explain how the signals get to the main transmitter.I seen in a-z section it said something about fibre optic cables is that by phone or some other way would love it if you did a section on it or pointed me in the right direction. thanks david.

I live in the central region, i get my signal from sutton coldfield. I have been having pixalation problems since April, i thought that the upgrade on the Wrekin was the problem until i realised that my signal is from sutton coldfield.Could the upgrade in one area affect my reception in another?

I think to show a diagram of the terrain between transmitter and receiver for a specific area is a great idea. Good reception always depends on line of sight distance from transmitter to receiver, and whether there is any high ground in between to reduce the signal.
