Ridge Hill transmitter AND RELAYS - analogue closed overnight 23-25th November

Overnight testing of the new Ridge Hill systems will require that analogue (not Freeview) services will be closed overnight from 23:45 23rd November, and also overnight the following night.

New systems have been installed on the Ridge Hill transmitter for digital switch-over (which happens in April 2011) and these require testing.

So, overnight tonight and tomorrow night all analogue TV services from Ridge Hill and all of its relays in order to test the new transmitter.

To allow the systems sufficient time to allow for proper testing, and for the new power systems to be tested, BBC analogue services will be closed overnight.



Freeview will continue to be broadcast as normal.
