New BBC national DAB for Saffron Walden M11 and Firth of Clyde

The new transmitter at Rothesay on the Isle of Bute brings BBC national DAB coverage to Bute and the north end of the Firth of Clyde, including Millport and Largs. This transmitter came on air yesterday afternoon, 13th January 2011.It adds about 14,000 people to the coverage of the network and improves reception for a further 20,000.
Sewards End
The BBC's national DAB digital radio services commenced transmission from a new transmitter at Sewards End the morning of 13th January 2011.The Sewards End transmitter serves the northern part of Essex and brings coverage to Saffron Walden. It adds about 14,000 people to the coverage of the network and improves reception for a further 75,000 and a large section of the M11.
This is the last station in the current build-out programme for East Anglia.
