Waltham - retune required Wednesday 13 April 2011
Just a quick reminder that there is a frequency change at Waltham, where from 13 April 2011 until 31st August 2011 at Waltham, Multiplex 2 will operate on C31 at 8kW (from original C23).
If you use this transmitter, you will need to retune.

Not able to receive channels 10, 30 or 46 since the retune on 13 April. Tried manual retuning but no luck. Will we not receive these channels until the August re-tune,.. forever, ..........?
Any hints would be welcome. I have been working with different makes of digital TV's for elderly friends who enjoy watching these channels. They miss them.

ridge hill central is now on 20kw for psb multiplxes and 10kw for com multiplexes . a new single channel multiplex for itv 1 west only is on 5kw until oct when it goes to 20kw. But less than 10% of tvs, digiboxes and digirecorders can receive it now. Prior to dso the 2kw multis worked well , why is itv1 west [ch 29 ] affected in this way ?

bernard hunt: The Ridge Hill ITV West service is designed to cover only a small section of the transmitter service area and is restricted to those nominally in the "West" area.

bernard hunt: Actually brian not quite correct. whilst the programme content is for 'west' the radiation pattern is exactly the same as 'central' and will be 20kw in oct. 10% of receivers in entire ridge hill area and glos display 'low power west ' now .Digital uk postcode checker backs this up see hr6 8du and ignore incorrect dates. So the problem is not txer pattern but receiver problems .Does anyone know why ?
