Craigkelly, Scotland switchover process starts today
This week sees the first stage of switchover for 451,600 homes in Edinburgh and East Central Scotland.
From 6am Wednesday 1st June 2011, you will need to retune your Freeview box or television set if you use the Craigkelly full service Freeview transmitter.
If you use the Aberfoyle, Cannongate HP, Grangemouth, Kinross, Newbattle, Penicuik and West Linton relay transmitters, from this date you will also be able to receive all the BBC Freeview services (except HD), and you will no longer be able to view BBC TWO on analogue.
You MAY find that old equipment will no longer work - see TVs and boxes that do not support the 8k-mode
On Wednesday 15th June 2011 will see the second stage of switchover, which provides the final Freeview configuration, including Freeview HD for all transmitters in this region.
Neil: I would check your equipment is not on this list - TVs and boxes that do not support the 8k-mode | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
Also, if you have an amplifier or booster, remove it from your system.

Since the change over I have lost more and more channels. Afew days ago I had Film 4 and SKY but quality wasn't good enough for a stable picture
Today I did a factory reset and scan and lost even more channels and am now down to 19 channels and 13 radio stations.
No ESPN, no SKY sports or News, no Film 4...

L McKnight: If you use the Craigkelly transmitter, these services should be OK. However, if you get signals from Black Hill they will not be OK until next year.
I would try My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound or the channel line up is wrong | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
