I have further enhanced the analogue radio section of UK Free TV with two major improvements. The first of these are the new "analogue radio frequency pages":

Also, the analogue radio pages now a more realistic estimate of the coverage area.

You can now click on a transmitter symbol on any radio map to see the details for it, which should have been working before, but wasn't.

In addition I have also increased the colour intensity on the DAB maps as the coverage areas were hard to see, like this:

Another bug fix has removed all the incorrectly displaying "international" characters on the site.

I have dropped the "ON BBC HD" box from the right hand column, it seems to have been slowing down the pages as they load and can still be found on the BBC HD - ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice page.

Finally, I have made some considerable improvements to the way that links are processed when they are posted in comments. About 750 old links that had not been picked up have been processed, and new links are now much easier to process.

That's a great idea, the only improvement I would make to it is if you could show the name of the transmitter beside the station name, frequency and power, especially when the same radio station operates on the same frequency but at different powers.
For example:
Absolute Radio 1215kHz at 1.2kW Absolute Radio 1215kHz at 320W Absolute Radio 1215kHz at 1.0kW etc. etc.
You can't tell which transmitter operates at each power level.

Hope you don't mind my little suggestion.
Thanks,
Stuart.

Our switchover (in Hackenthorpe, Sheffield) was supposed to take place today but we are still receiving analogue transmissions on our non-digital TV.
Can anyone tell me why and is this farce ever going to end?

Anthony Johnson: As you use the Emley Moor transmitter, your switchover will be on Wednesday 21st September 2011.

Only people who use the Sheffield transmitter had a switchover event today.
