Freeview is on a very sad decline.
I'm trying to get this site back into shape.

Morning Chris, no HUMAX is not an Aura it's model FVP-5000T.
Have checked Channel 35 again this morning and there appears to be 2 Transmission settings DVB-T & DVB-T2, DVB-T is reading zero strength & quality, DVB-T2 is reading 93% strength & 100% quality.

Yes, DVB-T2 is the transmission mode setting you need for the BBCB HD/PSB3 multiplex. It has the HD channels and there are also 2 SD channels on that mux.
Glad your ITV4 is ok.

Understood, 35 now set to DVB-T2.
Also, just spoken to Freeview about why we are receiving ITV Central News on the ITV HD channel 103 but our local ITV West news on channel 3.....I'm told that the HD channels have not yet been regionalised but may well do in the near future....we'll see.
No filter received yet, I'll keep you posted on that.

Yes, I meant to say in an earlier reply about ITV HD annoyingly being Central News rather than West.
For some time there have only been 4 "regions" country wide for the ITV HD Local News. The way transmitters were fed meant there had to be technical changes for full regionalisation to happen.
That work and equipment changes was done some time ago, but the full regionalisation hasn't yet happened. We "think" that this may be something to do with existing contracts with advertisers.
Hoping the regionalisation will happen in the not too distant future!

Hi Chris, i expect you missed me yesterday! ;)
Ok, filter from Restore TV received and fitted today, TV manually re-tuned and getting the following figures...
Channel 32 Strength 88% Quality 100% DVB-T
Channel 34 Strength 87% Quality 100% DVB-T
Channel 35 Strength 93% Quality 100% DVB-T2
Channel 48 Strength 76% Quality 100% DVB-T
Channel 33 Strength 89% Quality 100% DVB-T
Channel 36 Strength 90% Quality 100% DVB-T
Channel 30 Strength 0% Quality 0% DVB-T & DVB-T2
Freeview Channels Found 156 (TV-131. Radio-25)
I have checked all the channels that I was originally having interference on, they all now appear to be interference free so unless you can think of anything else I think I am set up/tuned in as best I can.
Thanks again for your excellent advice, I don't think I could have sorted this without your help.
Best Regards,
Roger

Hi Roger, I wasn't expecting to hear from you until you'd got the filter :D
Well those figures are as good or marginally better than before the filter, so good news and that everything works ok without any interference, that's great.
Glad to have been able to help you get it sorted.
Any future queries then do post.

Yes a slight improvement with the filter added - were you expecting more improvement?
Thanks again, I think going forward I will ensure I re-tune every 6 months or so and try to keep on top of it rather than just let it sit there and hope it all works each time I turn it on, which is more or less what i have always done in the past and hopefully ITV HD news will become regional sometime soon.

Hi Roger. No I'd say it's about what I was expecting. It's a very good quality filter having seen its performance spec. a few years ago, so hopefully you shouldn't get any issues in the future.
If you keep an eye on this page - https://www.freeview.co.uk/help/updates-alerts
depending on what the changes might be, you can decide whether it's worth retuning at any given point.
What that page never tells you is if/when one of the commercial channels changes mux, usually between SDN/ArqA/ArqB, though unusually this month LCN69 LEGEND XTRA moved from the Local Mux to BBC_B and two new streaming channels (internet needed) LCN285 TRACE UK - a music channel and LCN286 It Is Written TV - a religious channel, both appeared on the Local mux. Another streaming channel LCN257 EuroNews appeared on SDN. Changes usually occur on the 3rd or 4th Wednesday of the month.
Note, the list of changes can include changes on the Manchester Local multiplexes only receivable in that area (LCNs 85-88 this time).
Hope that helps, cheers.
