Grace patten: Hi, Grace. Sky News remains on channel 132 on Freeview. If you have changed to receiving your tv signals from the Crediton transmitter, you won't be able to view the Sky News channel because it isn't transmitted from Crediton, because the Crediton transmitter is not a main transmitter, and, as a 'Freeview Light' transmitter, it only transmits public service broadcasting channels (of which Sky News is not one). This should answer your question. Richard, Norwich. Mr R, Rigby: Hi, Mr R Rigby. The 'Keep It Country' tv channel is already available from the Winter Hill transmitter at Rivington Moor near Bolton on Channel 87. It could be that you haven't carried out a re-tune recently and so your tv hasn't registered it automatically. Older tvs and set-top boxes need to have a retune carried out on them to pick up new channels when they are added to Freeview, whereas newer ones tend to pick up new channel automatically. By the way, Keep It Country is transmitted as one of a group of high definition (HD) channels and so you need an HD television or HD set top box in order to pick it up. You will not be able to receive the channel on a standard definition (SD) television or set top box. Hope the above information is helpful, Richard, Norwich.

Kathy Scott: Hi, Karen. I would suggest two more retunes. The first retune should be done with the aerial lead removed from your Freeview box. This is so the box will 'forget' all previous data, including any data that had become corrupted in its memory. Then re-connect the aerial lead and re-tune again. Before doing the second re-tune, make sure your aerial is actually pointing to the Newhaven transmitter because you want to get your signals from there and no longer from Lewes. Your aerial needs to point almost due South, but with a tiny bit of East as well. Make sure it is not pointing to your West, which is where the Lewes transmitter is relative to you! Be extremely careful and cautious when you climb up on to your roof to turn the aerial around to point South with a little bit of East. One more thing: the multiplex that is playing up for you is the one on UHF tuning channel 40 (frequency 626.0 MHz) and so you might prefer to do a manual tune just on that channel after doing everything else. The main thing is to get rid of Lewes from your Freeview box and from your aerial, which ishy I've said to do two retunes AND turning your aerial around. Let us know how you get on, Richard, Norwich.

Andrew Corbett: Hi, Andrew. If you have ensured all connections are secure, all I can suggest is a 'first time installation retune or 'factory reset ' retune with the aerial completely disconnected first, so that your receiver will forget all previous data including any corrupted data, followed by replacing the aerial connection and then another 'first-time installation' or 'factory reset' re-tune. Remember that the BBC is responsible for dealing with reports of losses of programmes for transmitters, even though they'll probably get the transmitter engineers at Arqiva to deal with it. Arqiva's telephone number is 01962 823434, but there probably won't be anyone to answer your call until Monday morning. Also, have you tried receiving BBC Radio 4 Long Wave on 198 kilohertz Long Wave? AM reception should be OK from the Westerglen transmitter near Falkirk for you because long waves travel a long way, anyway. Richard, Norwich.
